'Golden Eyebrow' black teas from the Wuyi area in Fujian Province, China. Made from the lapsang variety of tea plant. Harvested early in the year, the young shoots are hairy with white wisps and when oxidised they go a golden colour. The dry leaf smells savoury with a hint of vegetal sweetness; think black olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Brewing brings forth aromas of salted popcorn and salted caramel brownies with hazelnuts, without being too sweet on the palate.
